Strawberry was abandoned by her owner. She comes from a yard with a serious cat overpopulation problem in Downtown, Kingston. In the early days, Strawberry would always come to eat when volunteers feed the street cats. We were told she had an owner. The rescue offered to spay Strawberry for free, but her owner said he wanted her to have kittens because he loved her fur color. Unfortunately, the rescue could not intervene in this case.
Months later, Strawberry became pregnant and sadly, neighbors reported that all of her newborn kittens died during Hurricane Melissa because they were left outside with no shelter. We noticed an increasing lack of care for Strawberry by her owner and realized the only time she would eat was when volunteers fed the street cats. We were told that she was pushed out and left to survive on the street so the rescue immediately stepped in to help her.
She is most likely one of Chloe’s kittens. Chloe was also once owned by the same people and neglected for years before we rescued her. Strawberry shouldn't suffer the same fate. She deserves real love, safety and a home that will treat her like family for the rest of her life.

‼️Strawberry is scheduled to return to the streets by 13th December
Strawberry is a very friendly kitty. She needs sponsors to keep her in the shelter for adoption! Boarding cost $6/day
