Contribution Fee Agreement

Contributions must be made before your adoption date can be arranged.

Contribution: We ask for a contribution of $4000 JMD or $25 USD per cat. We DO NOT sell cats or profit from their adoptions. All adoptable cats are spayed or neutered, dewormed, treated for fleas and ticks, given heartworm prevention, vitamin injections and receive a full veterinary wellness check-up prior to adoption. You also receive a secure pet carrier per cat. This care can cost us up to $150 USD or more in special cases. Your contribution here helps cover a portion of these medical and rescue expenses.

International Adoptions: Adopters in US or Canada are required to cover the cost of transportation. (Estimate $700+ USD). In addition to standard care, cats will also receive microchip, FeLV + FIV test if requested, and rabies vaccination if mandatory.

Required Before Adoption

To move forward with adoption, you must have the following items ready:

  1. A secure pet carrier (provided by OnlyPaws if you do not have one) - A secure carrier is necessary for safe transport home and for future veterinary visits.

  2. Quality cat food - Your new cat should have food available immediately upon arrival. This includes dry and wet cat food.

  3. A litter box with cat litter - Using appropriate litter is essential. Alternatives such as soil or sand may expose your cat to parasites or infection. A proper litter setup supports hygiene and health.

  4. Time and patience - Being prepared helps reduce stress during the transition. Adjustment periods can vary. Some cats settle quickly, while others need a few weeks to feel safe and trust you. Learn more.
