Required Before Adoption

To move forward with adoption, you must have the following items ready:

  1. A proper pet carrier - A secure carrier is necessary for safe transport home and for future veterinary visits. Soft or hard carriers are both acceptable, as long as they are fully enclosed and secure.

  2. Quality cat food - Your new cat should have food available immediately upon arrival. This includes dry and wet cat food.

  3. A litter box with cat litter - Using appropriate litter is essential. Alternatives such as soil or sand may expose your cat to parasites or infection. A proper litter setup supports hygiene and health.

  4. Time and patience - Being prepared helps reduce stress during the transition. Adjustment periods can vary. Some cats settle quickly, while others need a few weeks to feel safe and trust you. Learn more.
