Downtown

Downtown, lovingly called Towny, is a senior street cat estimated to be around 16 years old. She has spent her entire life surviving on the streets of Downtown, Kingston, sleeping inside a small hole in an abandoned lot.

Because she was never spayed, Towny gave birth to hundreds of kittens throughout her life. Now, she has lost all of her front teeth and can only eat soft food.

When we first spotted her, she was pregnant and extremely malnourished searching for food in the drain. It took months for her to trust us enough to be rescued. Thanks to our amazing donors, Towny was finally spayed. But with no foster or adopter willing to take in an elderly cat, she had no choice but to return to the streets she had always known.

We visit Towny every day. The moment she hears her name, she comes running to greet us. She is incredibly friendly, loves attention and waits so patiently for a few moments of love each day.

After surviving 16 years on the streets, raising litter after litter and asking for so little in return, Towny deserves more than a hole in an abandoned lot. She deserves warmth, safety, and a family to spend her golden years with. She deserves a second chance. 🩷
